Does anybody besides me seem to be having trouble even UNDERSTANDING all the gobbledegook in the health care law??
I tried to read it, I really truly did, but I honestly couldn't make much headway with it.
I understand the part about the IRS (and what in the world they have to do with health care is beyond me), going after people who don't buy insurance--I truly don't see how that can stand up to any sort of Constitutional test.
From what I can see, the thing is loaded with things that will only drive every health professional into other endeavors.
I forsee health care facilities closing their doors or at the least closing down their emergency rooms. The danged things are already so overrun with the poor when they have real health emergencies--what'll it be like when every wino with a hangnail demands immediate care?
Already, I'd guesstimate that 60% of people who get emergency treatment never get follow-up care. And a very large number of those folks are already on Medicare (or is t Medicade? I get those two mixed up!).
This is just one more example of our legislators moving the country even closer to Socialism.
